2012 - 2010

2010 saw Phil's 8th nomination for 'British Hairdresser of the Year' and the launch of "Essentials for Men" into his range. 2011 was an exciting year, with the entire redesign of his range under the Phil Smith Be Gorgeous branding. Stores received some of these new products at the end of 2011 the rest of them are on their way to store now! Consumers and journalists are loving the new look Phil Smith range. 2012 looks to be another great year with the re development of Phil's Essential for Men range so watch this space!

2009 - 2006

In 2006 Phil helped Toni and Guy launch their brand in Portugal with a huge show in Lisbon, which led to him then working with them again in 2007 on their tour of Italy. 2007 also saw the launch of Phil Smith's professional hair care product range 'Be Gorgeous' in Sainsbury's, a range that grew quickly and had an additional set of products to it in 2008 with the SOS Rescue lines. From this, he also launched his electrical goods line. 2008 was another award winning year for Phil, in which he was given 'UK Master Award' by the Australian Hair Fashion Awards. The awards continued in 2009, when Phil won Won 'Franchisee of The Year' in the British Hairdressing Sapphire Awards. He also launched new products into his range 'Xtreme Style' & 'Be Gorgeous: Super Straight'. He completed his first solo show in Slovenia and became a judge at the Russian Hair Awards, a post he has filled for the following 3 years.

2005 - 2001

In 2001 Phil received his first nomination for 'British Hairdresser of the Year'. He was also nominated for 'British Hairdresser Business Director of the Year', an award he won - the youngest person ever to do so. 2002 saw him judge the Canadian Hair Awards, and in 2003 he was asked to perform the same role for the Australian Hair Awards. 2005 bought a new dimension to Phil's career, the launch of his first product range "By Phil Smith" into Sainsburys nationwide. He also won Entrepreneur of the Year for Wiltshire and worked internationally for Toni and Guy in Barcelona.

2000 - 1995

1997 saw the birth of Phil and Louise's second child, George. 1998 was an incredibly busy year, which saw Phil open 3 salons in Canada, two in Toronto and one in Vancouver. This led to him being awarded Canadian Stylist of the Year. He also won 'Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year' for the second time with his UK salons, an accolade he won again in 1999. These consecutive wins saw him inducted into the 'British Hairdressing Hall of Fame' in 2000 - at the time, he was the youngest person to be entered in the history of the awards.

1995 - 1990

Phil opened his first salon in Salisbury in 1991 and his career has grown quickly since then. In 1992, he assisted with the hair for the guests at Sting and Trudi Stylers wedding, the beginning of his celebrity connections. 1993 was a big year which saw Phil win 'Wales and South West Hairdresser of the Year', one of the first of many awards he was going to win in the next few years. In the June of 1994, Phil opened his second salon after making such a success of the first one. 1995 was a big personal year which saw him marry his wife, Louise and welcome their first child, Ellie, into the world.
