Hair Wellness Habits to add to your routine

According to a poll carried out by American magazine Redbook, 74% of women say that a bad hair day makes them feel less confident. For the most part, we all want our hair to be in good shape, and the best way to make a good hair day a bit more of a guarantee, is to get into some really good daily habits.

Brush your hair before you wash it

When your hair is wet it’s more likely to break so ensure that you’re brushing out all of the knots beforehand.

Condition your hair each time you wash and do it properly!

Start with applying conditioner to the mid-hair to the ends of your hair and then work your way up to the roots. Leave it on for a full minute before you wash it out.

Protect your hair from the sun

Not hugely relevant for this time of year but your hair needs sun protection too! It’ll fade your colour, dry out your hair and make it brittle. Pop a nice fedora over it to keep it looking healthy.

Avoid too much heat

If you can avoid using tongs, hairdryers and straighteners every time you wash your hair, do so! The high temperatures of your favorite tools can weaken and damage your hair, resulting in breakage and dull, dry strands.

Be wary of your products’ ingredients

There are so many products out these days it’s sometimes hard to gauge which ingredients are best. We’d recommend incorporating coconut oil and Argan oil into your routine to keep your hair looking fresh and healthy between hair appointments.
