It’s hard to believe that I launched Phil Smith Be Gorgeous over 10 years ago. It was a dream I’d had ever since I began my hairdresser training, which is even more unbelievably, over 30 years ago…
When I created Be Gorgeous, my main goal was to bring the possibilities of salon styling to you, in your home, at an affordable cost with credible, premium and colourful, cruelty free products – which is still true today. But we’re in a different world and there are lots of important things to consider as an influential brand. Over the many years I’ve worked in the industry, I’ve come to realise that every owner has a voice to harness via their business. And I wanted to make a change to Be Gorgeous, for the better.
We’re working hard behind the scenes to re-package the full line using recycled plastic that can be recycled again. We are moving away from single use plastic, and looking at how we can make more sustainable decisions that allow you to do the same. We are also reformulating our vegetarian friendly products to be vegan friendly too. Our mission is to launch a more eco-friendly Be Gorgeous range by February 2021 with our first changes coming before the end of the year.
Being more sustainable shouldn’t be an option just for the luxury market, and I’m excited to be able to bring you the brand you know and love, but with a more eco-friendly spin (AND in bigger bottles, so you’ll get more bang for your buck).
